Aug, 13 (2025) via Newsroom: BCTransit brought new regulatory and transparency changes, to make display the seating capacity on the front of the busses. According to BC Transit, this change comes in response to rigourous customer feedback and to create ride experience more convient, specially during fall as schools reopen and foot traffic increases on the busses.

New Measure will show a sign of 'Standing Room Only', whenever the bus rider load has exceeded. Transit Operators will stop and open their doors at each stop on their designated route to permit additional customers to board if they choose. Passenger boarding will continue until customers are no longer able to stay behind the Redline near the front of the bus.

BC Transit also mentioned to have extra trips on busy routes when resources are available and use all available data and route planning tools to further optimize our service.
