Shopper's bring Joy & Hope to Surrey, by its clinics expansion move as company has added Seven Clinics, that comes to meet the increased health and accessibility needs of fastest growing city in Canada.

Sept 12, (2025) Loblaws Companies Limited & Shoppers Drugs Mart:  The Shoppers’ Drug Mart (A Loblaw Company) announced that they have officially added Seven New Pharmacy Clinics (stores) in Surrey, BC. The company's expansion strategy with first pharmacy clinic opened in March (2025) and with deadline to be opening remaining six clinics by End of Year (EOY). They company had an evident step up to be actually be able to open these store Ahead of Schedule. 

David Markwell (Interim President, Shoppers Drug Mart) recognized this milestone moment and mentioned:Shoppers Drug Mart is proud to do its part to help the residents of Surrey, one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, by increasing access to the primary care services they need and deserve. The seven new clinic locations, with extended, after-hours care, are designed to directly support the community and take pressure off local emergency rooms and physicians. This is about ensuring families can get the care they need, when they need it, right in their own neighborhood.

These uniquely designed clinics are equipped with child-friendly exam rooms, accessible waiting areas, and an onsite “Care Concierge” dedicated to providing personalized support and ensuring a smooth visit for every patient. Along with those, these clinics will also be providing patients access to a range of pharmacy healthcare services, including the assessment and treatment of injuries and common conditions such as urinary tract infections and pink eye, free of charge with a valid British Columbia Health Card.

The New Clinic locations of Seven Shoppers Pharmacy are: 7538 120th Street, 18677 Fraser Hwy, 5157 56 Avenue, Unit 100, 15691 104th Ave, Surrey, 8962 152nd Street, 12830 96th Avenue, 7322 King George Blvd.

"With the new Evergreen Mall location, along with others opening across Surrey, people will be able to get injections, medication reviews, and assessments for minor illnesses close to home - often with little or no wait. Timely access to care and trusted health advice are at the heart of pharmacy care clinics." said Josie Osborne (Minister of Health, BC).

Loblaws released statement (March 27, 2025) suggests, “Pharmacists are able to relieve pressure on frontline healthcare services and service providers by managing basic primary care conditions within their scope and triaging more serious cases to higher levels of care when needed.”

Brenda Locke (Mayor of Surrey) during this announcement said: “As Surrey continues to grow, access to health care is more important than ever. These seven new clinics are improving access to care for residents, while helping ease pressure on emergency rooms and family doctors. Thank you to Shoppers Drug Mart for their commitment to our community and for helping to build a healthier future for Surrey residents.”

Jagrup Brar (MLA, Surrey-Fleetwood) added, “I’m pleased to welcome the new Pharmacy Care Clinic to Fleetwood. This initiative will enhance access to timely, community-based healthcare and support the wellbeing of families across Surrey. It’s encouraging to see partnerships like this bringing innovative services closer to home.”

Well after opening of these 7 Clinics in Surrey, BC. Excitement is by far surreal to have these stores operating in Community.
