Nov 3 (2025): Global Affairs Canada has added recently announced China (People's Republic of China) has added Canada back in the list of Group Travel Destinations. This important annoucement is crucial step forward after the meeting with Chinesse Delegates, says Hon. Minister Anita Anand

The issued statement suggest, "The granting of Approved Destination Status for group travellers to Canada by China marks another important step in the recalibrated bilateral relationship. Tourism plays an important role in fostering people-to-people ties, which are a foundation for broader mutual understanding and cooperation. Canada maintains high standards for travel safety and quality, and remains a welcoming, secure destination for Chinese visitors. Following Prime Minister Carney’s recent meetings with President Xi Jinping last week, Premier Li Qiang in September and my meeting with Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing in October, we are demonstrating that, through engagement, we can advance this important bilateral relationship constructively and pragmatically."

The article quotes the interview statement by Ambassador Wang Di as, "The meeting between the two leaders was very important and very successful. During the meeting, President Xi and Prime Minister Carney reached very important consensus. Both sides agreed to work together to restart exchanges and cooperation across various fields, move forward in solving economic and trade issues of each other's concern, consolidate the momentum in the turnaround of China-Canada relations, and jointly advance the China-Canada strategic partnership."  

Ambassador Wang added, "Noting that the tariff issue does not represent the entirety of China-Canada relationship, Ambassador Wang made it clear that China has taken a very open and positive approach to expand the economic and trade cooperation with Canada. He emphasized that China and Canada should pursue mutual benefits and expand practical cooperation in the areas of economy, trade and energy. China is ready to work with Canada to implement the important consensus of the two leaders. More and more good news is surely on the way."

The signs of improving the China-Canada relationships to support and bring more in each others economy are great starting point for this Alliance to Grow further.
