The Ad-Free Streaming Experience of NASA's Space Exploration, Space Documentaries & Archives is Coming To HBO & Discovery+

NASA (August 10, 2026) (Washington, D.C.): It's been only three years since the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has launched NASA+ an ad and subscription free on demand service platform to accessible via web browsers, mobile apps and digital media players like Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. The streaming platform is now in process to be expanding to HBO and Discovery+ live channels with users on these apps to have consistent access to stream the special events such as Artemis III mission in 2027. The programming includes NASA's mission launches, a test flight for rendezvous and docking with human landing systems, robotic lunar deliveries, the first crewed mission to Moon under Artemis and more. NASA plans to keep the streaming platform free and ad-free for a comforting and unhindered experience.

As we return to the Moon to stay, our goal is to provide transparent, engaging content coverage every step of the way."

The space exploration organization aims to increase its cadence of Artemis missions to the lunar surface, and building the first Moon Base, among other agency priorities. Viewers on the platforms can stream NASA+ content in Dolby Vision on supported devices, which will bring space exploration to life with vivid colors, sharper contrast, brighter imagery, and richer detail. This enhanced streaming experience will help viewers experience space coverage in a uniquely immersive way.
