WestJet & Canadian Tire Corp. Forms Alliance To Enhance Their Loyalty Programs Experience For Members

If you shop at your local Canadian Tire Corp., Limited (TSX: CTC.A, TSX: CTC, "CTC") and travel with WestJet Airlines (TSX: WJA), the Corporation's have announced via joint media advisory to bring more towards your dollar spent with them.


On May 8, (2025) (CNW)WestJet & Canadian Tire Newsrooms shared about the strategic partnership to improve and link their rewards program for it's customers to get more benefits by stacking their CTC Money & WestJet Points. The arrival of this program will be in effect by early 2026, as both teams at WestJet & Canadian Tire works together on specifics to bring this program to life. 

The WestJet members who will opt to link the benefits, will get the ability to convert the WestJet points to CTC Money. The members who either hold a Triangle Mastercard or WestJet RBC Mastercard will be provided with provided with better rates to accumulate the points or money, while shopping across the banners of WestJet & Canadian Tire.

The Triangle reward program at Canadian Tire, helps to collect 0.4% CT Money on qualifying purchases at Canadian Tire and subsidiary stores while shopping including Canadian Tire, Sport Check, Mark's (L'Equipeur), Party City, Sports Experts, Atmosphere, Hockey Life, Sports Rousseau, Hockey Experts, L'Entrepot, Petro-Canada. 

You can also earn Earn 3ȼ CT Money on Gas+ Fuel purchases (per litre) when you pay with cash/debit. The collection percent increases by 10 folds (i.e. Reward of 4% CT Money) when you use Triangle Master Card (Credit Card) to shop at Canadian Tire and partner stores with 5ȼ CT Money on Gas+ Fuel purchases (per litre) and 1.5% CT Money Collection at Grocery Stores (excludes Walmart & Costco).

The WestJet who recently revamped their Reward's Program and brought forward more ways to redeem their point for its members which included redemption for entire flight, seats, bags and cabin upgrades, purchasing products from WestJet e-store (WestJet Reward e-store). 

Not only that, you earn more rewards on more sections of your flight bookings inclusive of Base fare, Carrier Surcharge, Seat selection, Checked Bags, Cabin upgrades purchases, Vacation packages. For frequent flyers, with WestJet RBC Elite Mastercard a tier of four levels (Teal, Silver, Gold and Platinum) is available which unlocks exclusive offers, bonus points, discounted fares on premium and business cabins, merch from WestJet stores and more.

In the Press release at CTC, Daryl Jenkins (Executive Vice President & Chief Development 
Officer, Canadian Tire Corporation) closing statement was:
