Vancouver Island University Career Fair | Mar 25 (11 AM - 3 PM)

VIU’s Career Studio is hosting the event, which features more than 48 businesses and organizations ranging from government and health care to banking and construction industries. The Career Fair is free to attend for students, alumni and members of the public, register by visiting the Spring Career Fair event page. University of British Columbia Annual Film Festival | Apr 27 (7 PM)

The annual Student Okanagan Film Festival showcases short films from a range of genres, including mini‑documentaries, experimental shorts, music videos, animation and short narrative films. The deadline for submissions is fast approaching. The festival is co-organized by UBC Okanagan’s Myron Campbell, Michael V. Smith and Daniel Keyes, all faculty members in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies. The three will be joined by student volunteers for the final judging round. Winners from that round will be shown at the festival on April 27. Click to read more about the event.
